The Offices of the Parole Commissioners for Northern Ireland are based inLaganside Court
The Secretariat is the administrative support team to the Commissioners and the staff are Civil Servants. At present there is a total of 17 staff.
The Secretariat is divided into two distinct sections within the office.
Corporate Governance and Finance
The Parole Commissioners have an administrative team of five staff dedicated to Corporate Governance and Finance. They are responsible for all areas of corporate governance, primarily concerned with the structures and processes for decision-making and accountability. The Financial Management system ensures that appropriate arrangements are in place to ensure that public funds and assets are properly safeguarded against abuse theft and loss, used economically, efficiently and effectively in accordance with the statutory authorities that govern their use.
The administrative team also provide valuable administrative support to the Secretariat and the Commissioners on a day to day basis. Their role extends to the processing and scrutiny of invoices and ultimately submission for payment.
The case management team deals with the submission, timetabling and expedient processing of the cases referred to the PCNI by the Department of Justice. The team is led by the Head of Operational Delivery. There is a senior case manager responsible for five case managers, four administrative officers and one administrative assistant.
