If the releaseof an ICSor ECS prisoner is directed the prisoner will be subject to licence conditions.
In the case of public protection sentenced prisoners these will be the standard licence conditions set out in the Criminal Justice (Sentencing)(Licence Conditions)(Northern Ireland) Rules 2009. The Commissioners will recommend any additional licence condition(s) that it is felt may be required to ensure that the prisoner can be released safely into the community. These conditions will be specific to the prisoner’s circumstances. Also, the panel, in its decision, may recommend the inclusion of other conditions tailored to the particular circumstances of the case.
